Finding God in the Darkness
Sometimes God feels closest not when life is good, but when we're at our lowest point.
The Dark Night of the Soul
My lowest point wasn't when I was high—it was when I was sober enough to see the devastation I had caused. In that moment of crushing clarity, I felt utterly alone and beyond redemption.
God's Presence in Pain
But darkness doesn't drive God away—it often reveals His presence more clearly. When I couldn't see Him, He was still there. When I couldn't feel Him, He was still working. When I couldn't trust Him, He was still faithful.
Light in the Tunnel
The beginning of my transformation wasn't a dramatic moment—it was a quiet whisper in my heart that said, "You're not finished yet." God's voice cut through my despair with hope I didn't think I deserved.
Darkness as Teacher
Now I understand that my darkest season taught me things about God's character I never could have learned in the light. His faithfulness shines brightest against the backdrop of our failures.
Hope for the Hopeless
If you're in a dark place right now, please hear this: God hasn't given up on you. Your current circumstances aren't your final destination. The same God who reached into my darkness can reach into yours.
The light is coming. Hold on.
